Philosophy of Camp

Creating and Fostering a Community
Carefully designed runs and strategic training are just the beginning. Granite State Running Camp's mission is to teach the fundamentals of running but also inspire athletes to challenge themselves in running and in life. Small group activities with hands-on leadership allow the athletes to learn, have fun and easily create new friendships.
This, combined with a dedication to developing those friendships throughout the  year through the camp's facebook page, create a community that the athletes and staff all appreciate. It is common for campers to go to meets and races to offer their support and encouragement to their GSRC friends. GSRC will help develop your athletic skills and abilities and further the sport of running as a life-long passion.

Average Day
Each day begins with a short staff led run on the picturesque trails and dirt roads that surround the camp. Afternoon runs are carefully designed for each ability level and end with a long soak in a mountain stream-something all the campers look forward to each day.
Between runs the campers attend cross country and running lectures and workshops on topics that range from stretching techniques, to race strategy and team building. Granite State Running Camp's facilities allow campers to spend their free time at the waterfront, on the sports fields or just relaxing in the serene environment.
