We are thrilled to be able to offer a menu of "home cooked" meals featuring meats from Whole Foods and produce from farms local to camp. Breakfasts include a hot dish as well as cereals, oatmeals, toast, yogurts and fresh fruit. Lunches and dinners always include a variety of fresh salads--cranberry/apple and spinach/strawberry/feta seem to be camper favorites. Mid-week treats might include chocolate dipped bananas & grapes or fresh baked cupcakes. Menu highlights often include a mac & cheese with "secret recipe" topping (now a classic GSRC favorite), chicken pot pie, Nutella stuffed french toast and homemade cinnamon rolls hot from the oven with icing.
Sponsors: We are grateful to Stonyfield Organic for being such dedicated supporters! They sponsor protein-rich (and delicious!) yogurt for our campers and staff! Teddie Peanut Butter, a long-time partner, helps fuel our runs with the best PB on the planet! A huge shout-out to all of our generous sponsors!
Allergies: We welcome campers with special dietary needs such as vegetarian, gluten free and allergies. We just ask that you reach out 30 days (or more!) prior to the start of camp. Campers with severe food allergies will have the opportunity to bring a few extra food items and store them in a dedicated (but shared) fridge. We offer a dedicated allergen-free toaster as well as the use of "toaster bags" to ensure the allergen-free integrity of the toaster. Ingredients for each meal are reviewed with AWAs (athletes with allergies) prior to each meal.
